About the Group
RIAMBiG is the international benchmarking group for railway infrastructure asset management. RIAMBiG’s principal aim is to compare performance as well as identify and share best practices in the management of railway infrastructure assets, following a structured approach, and in a confidential environment. The members stay in ongoing contact through performance reports, studies, the group’s secure website, and meetings hosted by the member railways. The project management, benchmarking analysis, and coordination of the group is provided by the Transport Strategy Centre (TSC) at Imperial College London.
The Group’s Objectives

Measure performance and establish best practices through a system of measures
Prioritise areas for improvement and support decision-making
Ownership and Management
The groups are jointly owned and steered by the members, with project management, administration, and research carried out by the Transport Strategy Centre (TSC), at Imperial College London.
Other Benchmarking Groups
RIAMBiG is one of a family of benchmarking groups facilitated by the Transport Strategy Centre.
